Summary

The Kias Phaser is a 2x2 Weapon room rewarded to the members of the Fleet, "Kias Elite" for winning the March 2018 Tournament. Like the Plasma Discharger, the Kias Phaser has ammo that costs to refill. Also, players who already have the Kias Phaser cannot buy a K Blaster.

Usage

In Combat

The Kias Phaser is like a more advanced version of the Bolter. With its larger power consumption, it excludes itself from the Bolter's main weakness of one power, making it a lot more competitively viable. However, the Kias Phaser should still get 2-4 blocks of Armor around it due to it being a 2x2 room.

When To Use

The Kias Phaser is mainly used to replace a ship's Bolters or to provide extra firepower to gunships. Whatever the reason may be, the Kias Phaser is definitely more suited towards gunships as it doesn't provide too much damage output for how much power it consumes.

AI

AI for rooms like the Kias Phaser is relatively straightforward. As long as the Kias Phaser's AI is targeting the same rooms in conjunction with the other weapons on a player’s ship, it should be fine.

The Kias Phaser used to be called the Kias Blaster, and before that, it was called the Kias Cannon.
