Summary
The Service Vent is a corridor that allows for horizontal movement aboard the player's ship. It's essentially the polar opposite of the Lift, having no Crew capacity limit nor the ability to transport Crew vertically. Like the other 1x1 rooms, Crew inside the Service Vent cannot be damaged as it's impossible to target.

Service Vent Strategies
Service Vents can be used to protect Crew being transported through two different Lift systems. | Service Vents are utilized in this strategy to protect Crew waiting to enter a Lift's elevator. |
This is known as "Sandwiching" and utilizes Armor to protect two adjacent rooms while still allowing Crew movement via the Service Vent. |
Trivia
- Crew using the Service Vent have a special "wiggle" animation when they go through it. This animation is rather messy, as it seperates the head of the Crew from the body as it "wiggles".
