Introduction
Shield Damage, as the name implies, affects Shield HP. High Shield Damage is incredibly important as shields are seen almost everywhere in PvP, especially past level 4.
Shield Damage Mechanics
Shield Damage is relatively straightforward. 3 Shield Damage deducts 3 HP from the enemy shield, 4 will take off 4 HP, etc. If the Shield Damage dealt exceeds the current Shield HP, the extra Shield Damage is discarded and is not carried over to systems, hull, or crew.
Shield Damage Weaponry
Below is a list of weaponry that inflict Shield Damage.
- Most Starship Weapon Rooms. Exceptions are the Missile Launcher, Multi Missile Launcher, and Teleport.
- Most Starbase Weapon Rooms. Exceptions are the Missile Launcher, Multi Missile Launcher, Teleport, Missile Array, Cruise Missile Launcher, and Apocalypse Missile Array.
