Pixel Starships Wiki

XP is used to advance crew levels, and is generally accumulated from fighting battles. Some can also be gained from training or XP books.

Accumulating XP[]

XP can be gained from battles. Battle XP is the amount given to each crew member on the ship - it is not split, and crew cannot gain XP faster by removing other crew members from the ship. Both the player's own crew and any crew borrowed via the Fleet Council room will gain this XP.

  • Victorious PVP battles give base XP equal to the opponent's trophies divided by 10.
  • Victorious ship battles on the galaxy map give base XP equal to the player's trophies divided by 10.

The following bonuses can increase these base XP amounts. Each of these bonuses multiplies with the others.

  • A player with a Subscription will gain 50% more XP.
  • A player at Diamond tier loyalty rewards will gain 10% more XP.
  • Some event weekends double XP gain.
  • The Double XP item doubles the player's XP gain for one hour. This cannot be used during a double XP weekend.

Victorious ground battles in the Galaxy Map give 100 XP to each crew member involved.

XP can also be gained from training.

  • Gym and Academy training gives 10-150 XP per training task, depending on tier and technology.
  • Consumable training items give 50-3,200 XP per item, depending on tier.

Finally, there are dedicated XP consumable items.

  • Dummies' Guide to the Galaxy: 100 XP
  • Beginner's Guide to the Galaxy: 300 XP
  • Traveler's Guide to the Galaxy: 1,000 XP
  • Wanderer's Guide to the Galaxy: 3,000 XP
  • Advanced Guide to the Galaxy: 10,000 XP
  • Expert Guide to the Galaxy: 20,000 XP
  • Winner's Guide to the Galaxy: 40,000 XP

There are also event-specific equivalents to some of these, such as the Declaration of Experience.

In all cases, XP gain is limited to what will advance the crew member to the next level. Any excess XP is lost.

Using XP[]

XP is used to increase crew levels. The XP cost of levels is consistent for most tiers of crew, though Legendary Crew have a more expensive progression.
